On the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast this week, the Dopefiend begins by talking about this year's UN World Drug Report which for the first time in history makes the incredibly significant move of praising the decriminalization policies of Portugal, designates decriminalization legal under international law, and accepts that prohibition has increased global crime. The Dopefiend also looks at US Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske's lacklustre response to the report and considers the potential fallout. Hitting the emails, the Dopefiend talks about Star Trek, The Hangover, the rumours of a new model of the iolite portable vaporizers and whether the minimal flaws in the original design are cause for concern, AK47, some interesting research into cannabis, the munchies and heart disease, Amsterdam's stoner paradise Haarlemmerstraat, the etiquette of communal vaporizers in Amsterdam, and we hear from Odee who drops a voicemail into the Dopefiend's inbox. Following some congratulations from long time DopeTriber Ned Fletcher, the Dopefiend heads into the VaporLounge to talk about his recent wedding, and vape a celebratory bag of All-Star Sativa Salad vapour featuring Sour Diesel, AK47 and John Sinclair, after which we hear from G13, Squidgy Sid and Max Freakout reporting live from the wedding itself. After a musical interlude in tribute to the late Michael Jackson, the Dopefiend talks about the Bauhaus movement, why he feels TV is a valid art form, Francois Toke Dizzle drops a voicemail, we hear about German hemp beer, growing cannabis in a freezer and the strength of the edible cannabis experience. Gruffdiver gives some in-depth analysis into the facts around cannabis potency and how it was used as an excuse for cannabis reclassification in the UK without any firm evidence of its potential to harm, then the Dopefiend hits the Cannabis News, including an update on the erroneous raid on a Maryland mayor's home which resulted in deputies shooting his two dogs, Spokane heralds the establishment of its first Medical Marijuana dispensaries, Australia and New Zealand are named as the world's top Cannabis consumers, and a New Zealand man celebrates by sparking up in parliament, and a New Jersey man accidentally texts a police officer instead of his dealer. Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk, send us a voicemail and drop by our Skype Virtual VaporLounge, and check out the forum.
