On the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast this week, the Dopefiend talks about the recently released figures concerning the number of cannabis-related arrests in the United States last year, why last year marked the first drop in arrests since 2003, and how a drop in arrests coincides with an increase in people admitting use of cannabis. Moving on to the emails, the Dopefiend talks about how cannabis use can induce feelings of paranoia and depression in some people, whether there are similar risks associated with psychedelics, and the best course of action for those who feel they may be affected by such problems. Next the Dopefiend heads into the VaporLounge to vape a pinch of Aunt Bessie's Lemon Skunk and talk about his return, last week, to the LSD dimension after a decade-long period of acid abstinence, before introducing audio highlights from the trip itself, which feature the Dopefiend and Son of Gonzo visiting Panorama Park during the peak of the experience, discussing UFOs, the ineffable energy and life of London, consciousness expansion versus corprate materialism, whether riding the grockle of London into the end of the world would be the ideal way to face the eschaton, visions of a shipwreck and a reptile-infested swamp, and a nitrous-oxide fuelled identity crisis. Following an acid-themed musical interlude, the Dopefiend returns to talk briefly about London, the popularity of cocaine in certain London circles and why police worldwide seem less concerned about cocaine use than cannabis use, before DopeTriber LIFT brings us his report from last week's Portland, Oregon HempStalk Festival, in which he brings us all the atmosphere from the event, describes some cutting edge cannabis edibles, and talks to Chris Henry from the Oregon Green Party, NORML executive director Allen St Pierre, John from Oregon Green Free. Finally, in the Cannabis News this week, Jack Herer remains in a critical condition following his heart attack at HempStalk, medical marijuana patients and caregivers lobby Washington officials for the right to grow cannabis for more than one patient, and New Mexico's sole provider of medical marijuana can't keep up with demand from patients.
