On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast,
the Dopefiend talks about the perilous and unknowable path trodden
by that strange breed of humanity that calls itself psychonauts,
what it is that those of us who voyage to such extraordinary realms
despite the considerable risk such travel involves are seeking,
whether it can ever be found, and if so, what that means for the
so-called "real world" and our place within it. Moving on the the
emails, the Dopefiend reads a response to the last few Dopecasts
from DopeTribe Elder Komrade Komura, who gives an alternative slant
on the riots, handling grief, the psychedelic experience, and the
importance of the Dopecast as a voice of opposition against the
forces that govern our world, as well us some words of support from
Dopefiend.co.uk podcasting hero Lefty, and the perspective of
DopeTribe newcomer the Duke of Dope on the phenomenon that is the
DopeTribe. Heading into the VaporLounge, the Dopefiend speaks about
his meditation practice, and also about his past week and how
recent events seem to be further changing his relationship with
cannabis. After a toke on some Iced Grapefruit and a musical
interlude, the Dopefiend reads a strange story of synchronicity and
fear of death from Hophead, and TreeMan tells his own story of how
a psychedelic experience threatened his sanity for eight years, but
hasn't deterred him from using mushrooms regularly. In this week's
Cannabis News, Homer returns to tell us about how Medical Marijuana
patients are set to take on the DEA in court, how a new study shows
that alcohol is the real gateway drug for teenagers, the British
gambler who grew ganja to pay his debts, yet another story of a
medical user hauled through the courts for growing his own
medicine, and was cannabis really to blame for a New Zealand man's
motorcycle crash. Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk, send us a
