(From Wikipedia:) The term nostalgia describes a yearning for the past, often in idealized form. The word is a learned formation of a Greek compounds, consisting of nóstos, "returning home", a Homeric word, and álgos, "pain" or "ache". It was described as a medical condition, a form of melancholy, in the Early Modern period, and came to be an important topic in Romanticism.

In common, less clinical usage, nostalgia sometimes includes a general interest in past eras and their personalities and events, especially the "good old days" of a few generations back recast in an idyllic light. Sometimes it is brought on by a sudden image, or remembrance of something from one's childhood.

It isn't unusual to hear nostalgia in a Mangled Meditations episode, however this episode is crammed full of it. Many are from my era though I did receive a lot of suggestions from the DopeTribe as far as what they have all clung to from their past. I dug deep as I could to include their nostalgia as well. The term 'nostalgia' is so broad and vague that the mere surface of nostalgia itself is only lightly scratched and lovingly woven into a journey of the familiarity and the strange. See if you can hear all your favorites from the playlist below.

Among other things, in this episode you will hear Popcorn spinning out of control, Bugs Bunny fighting with Vyvyan (from the Young Ones), and concrete proof that Bert and Ernie are gay. Take a hit of something, or several and ponder what the hell is going on as you hear Musical Palsey's fifth 42 minute episode of Mangled Meditations.
