On the first of three incredible episodes of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast LIVE from our DopeStock festivities in the Capital City of Cannabis, Amsterdam, the Dopefiend welcomes you aboard this year's Cannabis Canal Cruise and chats to Dopetribe regulars Ostritt and G13 about his arrival in Amsterdam and their participation in a summery truffle trip in the Vondelpark and the importance of siezing the opportunity to commune with the mushroom. G13 describes a very intense cleansing experience he had while the other trippers were chilling in the Rokerij Coffeeshop, then they talk about how portable vaporization has changed the Amsterdam experience, and also list some favourite coffeeshops and some of the early contenders for the DopeStock Cup, before catching up with Squidgy Sid about his experience of the Friday afternoon truffle trip and chatting to the Grow Report forum's Vapor Mod HudsonRulez about how Amsterdam compares to Canada as a stoner tourism destination. An incredibly stoned Mountainhigh takes the mic, and Son of Gonzo gibbers some characteristic nonsense. Next up, DopeStock veteran Bushmiller explains how he's devoted to return to Dopestock every time it happens, and what he likes about nearby coffeeshop and shopping centre Haarlem, before G13 passes round his iolite packed with some tasty Chiezel, sparking some discussion of the mouthpiece options available for the iolite, and G13's love of strong powerful indicas. Following the Dopefiend's recounting of the horror story that was his journey to Amsterdam for this year's DopeStock, involving Sour Queen, lost passports and associated chaos, he turns his attention to Squidgy Sid who clearly won this year's Whitey crown for an unprecedented display in the Greenhouse Lounge, and explains the sequence of events. Last year's organizer of the Canal Cruise, Jay_K, talks about his view of Amsterdam this year and how it's changed, paying particular attention to DopeTribe favourite coffeeshop Amnesia, then Son of Gonzo tunes up and graces us with a bit of classic Bob Dylan. Following a relocation to the bow of the Dopestock Bud Boat, the Dopefiend talks to Dopetriber Blazing Glory and his partner in crime Mullet about their own Dopestock travel nightmare and their mad dash to the dock to board the Canal Cruise, before turning to Komrade who's nominating Cheese for the Dopestock Cup, prompting some discussion of sativa strains Sleestack and the ultra-jittery LSD strain, then DutchBoy tells of his recent embracement of the Dopefiend.co.uk Podcast Network, and what it's like to live 20 minutes away from the Capital City of Cannabis. Next up, entheo-pundit extraordinaire Max Freakout talks about his experience of the Vondelpark trip session, and how the psychedelic experience never gets boring and how it compares to Cannabis in that respect, and how the new Dutch ban on psychedelic mushrooms has affected their availability in Amsterdam, and how truffles managed to escape the ban, before Stoney and Pothead talk about their experience of Amsterdam, while Pothead loads up his iolite with Chocolope, another favourite among the DopeTribe, leading to a discussion of what strains might be high up in the rankings for this year's DopeStock Cup before talking to Flick and Herodian about the new breed of spruced-up coffeeshops, whether the smoking ban has effected the coffeeshop scene, and whether the tobacco-free smoking mixes provided by coffeeshops are any good. Just then White Cheese makes a late entry courtesy of Jay_K and Flick, causing the Dopefiend to stop dead in mid-sentence as the stone kicks in, before rallying and talking to Jay about the legality of mushrooms, the fantastic Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory website, and the coming closure of Homegrown Fantasy, then moving on to speak to Shockrocket who's loading his iolite with a Lefty favourite, Red Cherry Berry, about his history with Cannabis and the quality of herb available in his native South Africa, and his favourite strains from his time in Amsterdam. Finally turning his attention to the beautiful twilight scenery surrounding the Canal Cruise and chatting to Herodian about the dream of living in Amsterdam, and the joys of being able to frequently vist such a stoner mecca, the Dopefiend wraps up the festivities as best he can with a head full of White Cheese. On this week's special 4/20 episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, the Dopefiend celebrates the annual stoner holiday by chatting to medical user and British cannabis activist Jim "Pinky" Starr, the man behind May 2nd's Legalise Cannabis Protest in London's Whitehall for a chat about what motivated him to become an activist and to take on the job of organizing the UK's only major legalisation protests. Hitting the emails, the Dopefiend covers such subjects as how vaporizers can help the medical cannabis community, how the iolite portable vaporizer can even be used in the supermarket, last week's incredible interview with Eddie Stratton and the stacks of positive feedback about it, whether solo DopeTribe members can enjoy Dopestock on their own and how changing career and listening to yourself can enhance your happiness, then the Dopefiend fires up his own iolite, filled with tasty Sour Diesel, and chats about the origins of great strains like Sour Diesel, the new coloured models of the iolite, before we hear a musical interlude from DopeTribe elder Son of Gonzo. Back and very stoned thanks to the Sour Diesel, the Dopefiend talks about how Cannabis can change the lives of cancer sufferers, and how many Cannabis users are using Cannabis for medical reasons without even knowing it, different techniques for iolite use, we hear from HudsonRulez about his iolite and his forthcoming attendance of the Golbal Marijuana March in Toronto. In the Cannabis News, Mexico's opposition party looks at decriminalizing drug posession, President Obama appoints an addiction treatment specialist as the Drug Czar's no.2, Portugal's own decriminalization policy pays off, Cannabis decriminalization is proven to have no effect on levels of use, smoking tobacco in addition to Cannabis increases chances of lung disease, and hemp houses leave a better than zero carbon footprint! Join us for all the fun from Dopestock next week! Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk, send us a voicemail and drop by our Skype Virtual VaporLounge, and check out the forum. On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, the Dopefiend talks about the cost-benefit analysis into legalization of all illegal drugs carried out by the British drugs policy foundation Transform, and why the government's opposition to it is not only ill thought out, but it's actually delivering the opposite of their won stated aims. Hitting the emails, the Dopefiend talks about the phenomenon of "contact highs", whether Cannabis use can aid "astral projection", whether underage vaping is as dangerous as underage smoking, how Cannabis can have an anti-depressant effect and why it's important to watch out for mouldy marijuana. Heading into the VaporLounge for a taste of some John Sinclair to evoke memories of Amsterdam, the Dopefiend goes into detail about the plans for next week's fun in Amsterdam, before taking a musical interlude courtesy of DopeTribe elder Esse B. Back from the VaporLounge, the Dopefiend introduces an extra special section in which Druidude kicks of this week's Cannabis News with a follow-up to last week's story of the teacher taking his cannabis case to the British High Court, as he talks in-depth to the man who pioneered this defence, Eddie Stratton, about Cannabis law and how to challenge it in the UK. In the rest of the Cannabis News this week, some Australian anti-Cannabis propaganda makes claims about a new syndrome affecting heavy users, further details emerge about THC's cancer-fighting properties, UC Santa Cruz tries to clamp down on their 4/20 celebrations, customs officers discover 90 pounds of bud hidden inside picture frames, and the Harry Potter actor who was busted for operating a "£2000 Cannabis Farm" in his mum's house. On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast, the Dopefiend talks about US President Barack Obama's recent off-hand dismissal of legalization of cannabis as an economic remedy at a "Virtual Town Hall", and the equally disappointing attempt at elucidation by the White House press secretary, drawing on the reaction from the DopeTribe, some of whom still side with the president, and some who aren't so forgiving, and explaining why there's really nothing funny about Cannabis prohibition. Hitting the emails, the Dopefiend talks about how vaporizers can save your money as well as your lungs, making pizza with cannabis, the California bid to legalize posession of cannabis, whether there is such a thing as "too much weed", whether there any ill-health effects associated with Cannabis use other than those cause by smoke inhalation, and we get a poetic contribution from Wayne before the Dopefiend fires up the Iolite/I-Inhale portable vaporizer and strolls around with some fresh Nebula while talking about his Salvia plant, and giving the full details of the ever-approaching third annual DopeStock festival in Amsterdam, including news of Ostritt's Poetry Competition. After a rocking musical interlude from JohnoLeader, the Dopefiend, considerably lifted by the Nebula, reads a sad story of dissatisfaction concerning Roarcorp Film Guy and his Vapir Oxygen Mini vaporizer, we hear from the Baked Baker about her stealth vaping adventures as Starbucks, and the Dopefiend also covers the risk, if any, to male cannabis user's reproductive cabapility. Finally, the Dopefiend reads the first email he's received from an unsatisfied iolite owner, then he rounds things of with the Cannabis News, including the story of a major crackdown on bongs in Israel, a proposed Nevada bill would once again make medical growers criminals, two men report their stolen weed and pipes to the police, and Method Man is so high he forgot to pay his tax bills!
