On this week's episode of the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast,
the Dopefiend reports that leading UK peers, including former heads
of MI5, the CPS and the BBC have joined forces with the Beckley
Foundation to call for new policies to replace the failed War on
Drugs, and bring scientific evidence back into the UK's drug laws,
while the British Medical Journal agains suggests the legalization
of cannabis. Moving to the emails, the Dopefiend talks about the
risks, or lack thereof, of vaporizers with aluminium components,
and we hear from long-term DopeTriber Camo about how his life has
changed since his first email to the Dopecast four years ago, and
how he struggles with the mighty dose of THC that the iolite
vaporizer deals him. Heading into the VaporLounge, the Dopefiend
fires up the Volcano for a taste of Purple Kush and a brief mention
for the impending Dopestock celebrations in Amsterdam, then
connects with DopeTribe elder Larz, who tells a scary story about
how his shopping habits have led to him being under surveillance.
Following a musical interlude from loudscape, the Dopefiend turns
to the saga of the Gremlin of Ganja's absence from the DopeTribe,
and an extraordinary new email, his first communication with the
Dopecast in 2 months, which threatens to shake the DopeTribe to its
very core. Finally, in this week's Cannabis News: a new wave of
raids on medical marijuana dispensaries sweeps the United States,
amid evidence of a new federal policy of zero tolerance on MMJ, the
war on cannabis costs New York City $75 million a year, mayors in
British Columbia call for an overhaul on medical marijuana
grow-ops, a UK health authority refuses to allow cannabis-based
sativex medication for MS sufferers, and DopeTriber Smoke Jaguar's
first ever Breaking Convention gears up for a weekend full of
music, lectures and other psychedelic activity. Email mail@dopefiend.co.uk, send us a voicemail, follow
